The University of Iowa is temporarily suspending its search for a new dean of the College of Law. A national search was launched in July and the university invited three candidates to campus in early-December. After evaluating campus feedback and consulting with the search committee, university leadership determined none of candidates was the right fit for the position and decided to pause the search.

The search committee for the next dean of the University of Iowa College of Law is pleased to announce that three candidates will participate in campus visits in early December. Each candidate will participate in an open forum and meet with faculty, staff, students, shared governance, and campus leadership.
